The only thing I enjoy as much as making music is helping my students discover that joy for themselves. I love that "Ah ha!" moment we get when learning something new.
I have been teaching music in one form or another for over 15 years, nowadays I specialize in private in-home guitar lessons. Every student progresses differently so I like to customize our sessions to fit your specific needs at the time. My students and their families say I am endlessly patient and encouraging. Many of my students continue lessons with me for years, until moving away to college, some have even become professional performers in their own right.
I have worked with students aged 5 to 90. It is never too early or late to pick up an instrument for the first time, I encourage it at any age. Anybody can learn how to play basic melodies and with some determination and practice you can advance to much higher levels. It is possible to learn a lot on your own however you can progress much faster with an experienced teacher.

The Fine Print
Typically lessons are one hour long, once per week, billed monthly. For younger students we may schedule shorter lessons, for more advanced students we my increase our lesson length or frequency. Ask me about new student specials.
